Have you ever struggled with creating backgrounds for your work? Maybe you have a character in mind, but can’t work out how to place them in a scene?
Today we’re going to introduce a great hack that professional manga and anime artists love to use!
You might have heard of 3D model apps that can help with character creation… but did you know there are apps available for 3D room planning too? What better way to plan out your own original scene, than to simply select and lay down all of the objects to create your own custom reference image!
It’s so much more versatile and customisable than using a photo reference, and you can tweak the camera angles to find the perfect perspective for your image. There are endless props, furniture, and outdoor landscaping tools that let you get super creative with your scenes. Some of the apps even have the option to light the room in different ways, which is so helpful when deciding how to light your scene. We definitely recommend you give these resources a try.
